Promote and publicise cycling
Raising awareness of cycling in the workplace can encourage more staff to commute by bike and to cycle for short journeys during the working day.
Cycling information
Provide staff with area maps showing existing links and paths such as the National Cycle Network.
You could buy and distribute copies if one is already available or consider producing your own cycle map identifying potentially safe cycle routes to your premises.
Your local council should be able to supply a map of local cycle routes while the SUSTRANS mapping service gives details of the National Cycle Network.
Bike Week
Why not take part in Bike Week (in June every year) and take advantage of publicity, promotional materials and local events and activities organised around this well supported national awareness-raising week?
